Scott Theory
From the age of 12 I've been into the whole electronic music scene. I got hooked as soon as I had my first listen to some early rave music ala SL2, Prodigy, N-Joi etc. At 14 I started to attend the raves where I could hear music like this and after watching the DJ's in action, I convinced the old dears to purchase me my first set of belt drive soundlab decks.
I played hardcore, rave, breakbeat music for a few years before it died out and moved onto gabba music before a visit down to the rave Helter Skelter converted me to Drum and Bass/Jungle music. I played this for 2 or 3 years before my first visit to T in the Park in 1999, brought forth the sounds of techno, witnessing Jeff Mills, Luke Slater and Richie Hawtin all play one after another. This immediately prompted me to start buying techno records and before long I had stopped buying DnB altogether and techno was the only thing in my bag. These days I play a variety of stuff from disco through to electro through to techno, anything goes really.
I also won I-DJ's Raw Talent competition in 2006 with a mix called Deviant Behaviour which lead to a gig at Tribal Funktion in the Ocean Rooms in Brighton.
I've had the privilege of playing alongside DJ's and acts like - Robert Hood, Surgeon, Regis, James Ruskin, Dexter, Damon Wild, Johannes Heil (to name a few) and at club nights like Monox, Deviant Behaviour, Pins and Needles, Animal Farm, Sleaze and One More Tune, as well as a few outdoor parties.
